Filmmaking couple Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone have found their next project, the Steve Mallory-scripted action comedy ‘Super-Intelligence.’
Falcone will take the director’s chair with McCarthy playing Carol Peters, “a former corporate executive whose earnest yet unfulfilled life is turned upside down when she is selected for observation by the world’s first super-intelligence — an artificial intelligence that may or may not take over the world.”
The project marks the couple’s fourth collaboration in an actor-director capacity, following ‘Tammy,’ ‘The Boss,’ and the upcoming ‘Life of the Party.’
Production is scheduled to commence in July after McCarthy wraps on the Vertigo comic adaptation ‘The Kitchen.’
LIFE OF THE PARTY is released in Irish cinemas May 11.
