Todd Philips, director of “The Hangover 2”, has said that Mel Gibson will not be making a cameo appearance in the film despite previous reports.
In a statement Philips says that he said Gibson would appear in the film before receiving “the full support of my entire cast and crew”.
The initial report led to much controversy with Gibson still in hot water over allegations that he made racist and threatening remarks to his ex-girlfriend earlier this year. Cast and crew were set to be furious Gibson was being offered a part in the film.
“The Hangover 2” which will feature stars from the first film including Bradley Cooper and Zach Galifianakis will be released in Summer 2011.
