McGregor to topline Aussie thriller.
Ewan McGregor (‘The Impossible,’ ‘Haywire’) is attached to set to star in the Australian heist thriller ‘Son of a Gun,’ says Variety.
Marking the feature directorial debut of writer-director Julius Avery, the story follows the relationship between Australia’s public enemy number one (McGregor) and his young protégé.
Set to shoot in Perth, Kalgoorlie and Western Australia in early 2013 the film will be produced by Timothy White via Southern Light Films, and co-financed by Canada’s Media House Capital Western Australia’s screen funding and development agency ScreenWest.
