McGregor and Paltrow May Join Depp for MORTDECAI

Stars circling Kyril Bonfiglioli adaptation.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Ewan McGregor are reportedly in talks for roles in David Koepp’s crime drama ‘Mortdecai.’

With Johnny Depp set to headline, the film follows Charles Mortdecai, “an antihero art dealer and rogue who is in a race to recover a stolen painting rumoured to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.”

The screenplay comes from Eric Aronson and is based on the three-part series of books by Kyril Bonfiglioli.

‘Mortdecai’ is expected to begin shooting after Depp wraps on Disney’s musical adaptation ‘Into the Woods.’

Depp and his Infinitum Nihil partner Christi Dembrowski are co-producing the film with Andrew Lazar of Mad Chance.
