Matthew Vaughn finds Golden Age

Matthew Vaughn tackles third comic movie?

X-Men: First Class/Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn is looking to continue his reign of superheroes flicks, with the director in talks for The Golden Age.

Based on a comic from Jonathan Ross and Tommy Lee Edwards, the series is set in a superhero retirement home.

According to reports, Vaughn would ideally put together an aging group of former A-listers (Clint Eastwood and Jack Nicholson are among those listed as being part of Vaughn’s dream cast) and set them as Golden Age heroes (a term coined for comic books published in the 1930’s and 1940’s, when the superhero genre really took off) who have to return to fighting crime to repair the damage done by their grandchildren.
