‘Killer Joe’ star Matthew McConaughey has closed a deal to join Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Wolf of Wall Street.’
The film chronicles the dramatic rise and fall of New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio), who, in the 80’s and early 90’s guided his team into making millions, then used the money to fund an extravagant lifestyle before being indicted in security fraud and money laundering.According to Deadline, McConaughey will be taking the role of Mark Hanna, the early boss and mentor of Belfort.
The supporting cast includes Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, Rob Reiner, Kyle Chandler, Margot Robbie, Jon Bernthal, Cristin Milioti, P.J. Byrne and Ethan Suplee.
Production begins this month in New York with a screenplay penned by ‘Boardwalk Empire’ creator Terence Winter.
