Matthew McConaughey, Alan Rickman and More Circle THE BUTLER

Cast of the White House drama continues to grow.

Matthew McConaughey, Alan Rickman, Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding Jr. have reportedly all joined the cast of Lee Daniels’ historical drama ‘The Butler.’ They join the previously cast Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, John Cusack and Jane Fonda.

The film explores the life of Eugene Allen (Whitaker), the butler who served at the White House under eight presidents from 1952 to 1986. Winfrey is set to play Allen’s wife, Helene. Cusack will portray Richard Nixon, while Fonda will play Nancy Regan.

Daniels co-wrote the script with Danny Strong based on Wil Haygood’s Washington Post article about Allen.
