Matthew Fox and Ed Harris in Talks for WORLD WAR Z

Forster continues to fill out the cast of his adaptation.

The casting for Marc Forster’s zombie epic ‘World War Z’ is in full swing with Matthew Fox and Ed Harris now in talks to join the cast of Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos (‘The Killing’) and the recently announced James Badge Dale (‘The Pacific,’ ‘The Departed’). Deadline reports that French actress Julia Levy-Boeken (‘Ha-Alufa,’ ‘Entourage’) has also joined the cast.

After a lengthily struggle over the €86 million budget the adaptation of Max Brooks’ ‘World War Z’ will kick off production this month with Forster (‘Quantum of Solace’) directing from a script by J. Michael Straczynski with rewrites by Matthew Michael Carnahan.

Set ten years after a global zombie infestation the movie sees Pitt playing Gerard Lane, a U.N. researcher investigating the outbreak. Mireille will play Lane’s wife while Dale will play Captain Spake, a U.S. soldier who tried to alert authorities of the coming threat.
