I am Legend scribe Mark Protosevich is reportedly bringing Mass Effect to the big screen.
The 2008 video game is set in the year 2183, focusing on a human soldier and his starship, the SSV Normandy. The galaxy-spanning story involves a long-extinct race of aliens, dormant beacons and more alien species than you can shake a lightsaber at.
The project is still in the early stages of development with Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni producing the movie.
Speaking about the possible movie, Tull called “Effect” “ripe for translation,” saying it had “depth, compelling characters and an engaging back story.”
A sequel to the video game was released earlier this year.
