Scribe sells first spec script.
Heat Vision reports that Legendary Pictures has acquired the modern-day fantasy spec script ‘Slayer’ from newcomer Martin Helgeland.
Set in modern-day, the screenplay follows a young doctor whose learns that he is the last in a long line of dragon slayers after his estranged father dies.
Helgeland, the son of veteran scribe Brian Helgeland (‘L.A. Confidential,’ ‘Mystic River,’ ‘Man on Fire’), is a student at Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles and this is his first script.
