Mark Wahlberg Pursuing HEADHUNTERS

Actor wants in on thriller remake.

Talking to Shortlist.com, Mark Wahlberg revealed that he looking to land the lead in writer-director Sacha Gervasi’s English-language adaptation of Jo Nesbø’s Norwegian thriller ‘Headhunters.’

Wahlberg, who is currently starring in ‘Contraband,’ a remake of the 2008 Icelandic action thriller ‘Reykjavik-Rotterdam,’ said:”I saw a film recently called ‘Headhunters,’ it’s a Norwegian film and it’s one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time.” he added “I met with the director and pleaded with the studio that has the rights so we’ll see if we get anywhere with that.”

‘Headhunters’ chronicles the escapades of Roger Brown, a high-living corporate headhunter who steals artwork from his rich clients to finance his expensive lifestyle. When a heist unexpectedly goes south, he discovers he’s in way over his head in a murderous scheme.
