Casey Affleck set to star in crime drama…
‘Never Let Me Go’ helmer Mark Romanek has reportedly entered into talks to direct Casey Affleck in ‘Boston Strangler,’ a serial killer drama in the vein of ‘Zodiac’ and ‘Seven.’
Penned by Chuck MacLean, the drama follows an ambitious detective (Affleck) who is willing to risk career and life in a race to bring down a notorious serial killer in Boston during the early 1960s, while battling a political cover-up by corrupt politicians and lawyers trying to save their careers.
Affleck will also serve as executive producer on the project, with Kevin McCormick over at Langley Park producing. Sarah Schechter is overseeing the project for Warner Bros.
