Mark Millar talks Superman Sequel

Wanted co-creator addresses rumours of his involvement with the next Superman movie

Mark Millar has addressed rumours regarding his involvement with the next Superman movie.

According to earlier reports the Wanted co-creator believes that his proposed screenplay for the film will not be adapted because the studio behind the film could afford him. Miller now claims that he was misquoted:

“I don’t think I said they couldn’t afford me now,” he wrote on his messageboard. “If I did I was joking because writing Superman would be a massive payday so if I said that I was obviously laughing at the time. It’s possible though as I like being glib.”

Earlier this year, Warner Bros. and DC Comics were issued a mandate to produce a new Superman film by 2011, following a lenghty legal battle with the heirs of the characters’ creators.
