Marisa Tomei and Sam Rockwell Sign On for Indie Comedy WHY NOW

Low-budget project will also star Brian Geraghty.

Screen Daily (via ThePlaylist) has word that Marisa Tomei (‘The Ides of March’) and Sam Rockwell (‘Seven Psychopaths’) have been tapped to star in the indie comedy ‘Why Now’ for actors turned writer-directors Michael Godere and Ivan Martin.

Plot details are being kept under wraps for now but the film, budgeted at around $500,000, will shoot in New York in November and will co-star Brian Geraghty (‘The Hurt Locker’). Godere and Martin will also take roles in the film.

Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy are on board to produce via their Parts & Labor banner. Tory Lenosky will serve as lead producer.
