Marion Cotillard and Joseph GordonLevitts Roles for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Revealed

Warner Bros has revealed the roles to be played by both Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard.

Warner Bros. has sent out a press release officially revealing the roles Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play in Christopher Nolan for ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’

Oscar winner Cotillard will play Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprises board member eager to help a still-grieving Bruce Wayne resume his father’s philanthropic endeavors for Gotham, while Gordon-Levitt takes the role of John Blake, a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty by Commissioner Gordon.

Nolan said, “When you collaborate with people as talented as Marion and Joe, it comes as no surprise that you would want to repeat the experience. I immediately thought of them for the roles of Miranda and Blake, and I am looking forward to working with both of them again.”

Cotillard and Gordon-Levitt were previously rumoured to be cast as Talia al Ghul and The Holiday Killer, respectively.

The cast for Christopher Nolan’s third and final Batman film currently includes Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Juno Temple, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and the recently announced Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Diego Klattenhoff, Burn Gorman and Nestor Carbonell. The movie will start shooting later this year.
