Reeves enlist action star for directorial debut.

Variety has word that Keanu Reeves has cast Indonesian actor and martial artist Iko Uwais (‘The Raid’) for a role in his directorial debut ‘Man of Tai Chi.’

A martial arts-styled action drama set in modern Beijing, ‘Man of Tai Chi’ stars Tiger Hu Chen (‘Kung Fu Man,’ ‘House of Fury’) as “a young martial artist who’s fighting skills brings him to a realm of vast opportunities, and painful choices.” As previously reported, Reeves will also co-star, taking the role of the movie’s villain.

The bilingual film is currently in production in Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau. You can check out a cool proof of concept video below that showcases the camera system that Reeves will be utilizing.
