MAN OF STEEL Sequel Eyes Adam Driver for Nightwing Role

Wonder Woman, and The Flash may also appear…

It looks like Henry Cavill’s last son of Krypton and Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight Detective will have some company in the ‘Man of Steel’ sequel, with TheWrap hearing from its sources that ‘Girls’ star Adam Driver is one of three actors in contention for the role of Batman’s former partner Dick Grayson.

Zack Snyder’s still-untitled sequel will feature an older version of the Caped Crusader’s sidekick, who has been estranged from Bruce Wayne for years, dropped the Robin moniker and assumed the mantle of Nightwing. At 6’3″, Driver would be able to hold his own against Affleck’s 6’4″ “tired and weary” Batman.

Snyder is also reportedly looking to at ‘Fast and Furious’ actress Gal Gadot, Elodie Yung (‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’) and Olga Kurylenko (‘Quantum of Solace’) for the role of Bruce Wayne’s love interest. The character’s description of “tall, brunette, athletic and exotic,” has led to internet speculation that the role will be of Diana Prince aka Amazonian warrior princess Wonder Woman, who has had a romantic past with Batman in the comics.

The sequel is scheduled to hit cinemas July 2015.
