Otto Bathurst in the director’s chair…
Variety has word that ‘The Hobbit’ actor Luke Evans is set to star in ‘Three Seconds,’ a maximum-security prison thriller that will be directed by Otto Bathurst (‘Peaky Blinders,’ ‘Black Mirror’).
Featuring a script by Matt Cook, the thriller is adapted from Anders Roslund and Borge Hellstrom’s best-selling novel of the same name and centres on “a man who is dispatched by the FBI to infiltrate the Polish mafia’s New York drug trade. Forced undercover in maximum security prison when his cover’s sprung and he’s abandoned by the FBI, his only chance of survival is to break out of the prison or die.”
Production is slated to kick off this Spring in New York with Basil Iwanyk (‘John Wick’) and Ollie Madden (‘Spooks: The Greater Good’) producing.
