LONDON FIELDS Adaptation Reveals Cast

Cast announced as filming gets underway.

Principal photography on the long gestating Martin Amis adaptation ‘London Fields’ is set to commence this week with a cast that includes Amber Heard (‘Machete Kills,’ ‘Paranoia’), Billy Bob Thornton (‘Parkland,’ ‘The Baytown Outlaws’), Jim Sturgess (‘The Big Shoe,’ ‘Eliza Graves’), Theo James (‘Divergent,’ ‘Underworld: Awakening’), and Jaimie Alexander (‘Thor: The Dark World,’ ‘The Last Stand’).

Adapted from Amis’ 1989 novel, the black comedy murder-mystery follows Nicola Six (Heard), the ultimate eternal sexual femme fatale, possessed of unusual beauty and hypnotic magnetism. Mysterious and clairvoyant, Nicola sets a plan in motion to fulfil the prophecy of her own murder. Caught up in Nicola’s plan are Samson Young, a terminally ill writer (Thornton), Keith Talent (Sturgess) a lowly street hustler, and Guy Clinch (James) a rich upper-class banker who is bored with life, with his terrifyingly snobbish American wife, Hope (Alexander). All of whom become intertwined in a love triangle that unfolds in the grimy underbelly of London.

Samson convinces Nicola to let him document her manipulations in a book she says will be his literary masterpiece but only she knows who the tale will end and who her killer will be.

Commercials and music videos director Matthew Cullen is making his directorial debut on the adaptation with the script coming from Roberta Hanley and Amis.
