Indie darlings to direct Matthew Quick adaptation…
‘Little Miss Sunshine’ and ‘Ruby Sparks’ helmers Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris are set to step behind the camera for ‘The Good Luck of Right Now’ for DreamWorks, reports Variety.
An adaptation of the forthcoming novel by bestselling author Matthew Quick (‘The Silver Linings Playbook’), the Philadelphia-set story follows the intertwined lives of four people, who are all outsiders in their own right. However, in the wake of grieving over pain and loss in their lives, they come together to form the most unlikely family.
Mike White (‘School of Rock,’ ‘Nacho Libre,’ ‘The Good Girl’) is on board to adapt the screenplay for Dayton and Faris. Quick’s novel arrives on bookshelves in February.
