Actress boards comedy sequel/reboot as production kicks off…
Leslie Mann (‘The Other Woman,’ ‘This Is 40’) has scored a supporting role opposite Ed Helms and Christina Applegate in New Line’s ‘Vacation’ sequel.
Set to begin filming this week, the comedy picks up with a grown-up Rusty Griswold (Helms). Following in his father’s footsteps and hoping for some much-needed family bonding, surprises his wife, Debbie (Applegate), and their two sons (played by Skyler Gisondo and Steele Stebbins) with a cross-country trip back to America’s “favourite family fun park,” Wally World.
Variety has Mann taking the role of Rusty’s sister Audrey Griswold.
Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo reprise their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold from the classic ‘Vacation’ comedies, with Chris Hemsworth (‘Thor: The Dark World’) and Charlie Day (‘Horrible Bosses 2’) rounding out the cast.
‘Horrible Bosses’ screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are attached to make their directorial debut with the film from a script they penned.
