Leos Carax’s Music-Filled Drama ANNETTE To Star Adam Driver

‘Paterson,’ ‘Silence’ and ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ actor Adam Driver is set to star in ‘Annette,’ the English-language debut of cult French filmmaker Leos Carax.

Featuring a script and soundtrack by 1970s art-rock duo Sparks, the music-heavy film is about a widowed stand-up comedian who is faced with the reality of taking care of his gifted two-year-old daughter after his opera singer wife dies.

Producers include Bruno Pesery of Arena Films, Switzerland’s Vega, Belgium-bassed Wrong Men, and Japanese banner Eurospace.

Filming begins later this spring. The film marks first Carax’s first movie since 2012s fantasy drama ‘Holy Motors.’
