Swedish helmer eyes crime thriller…
Daniel Espinosa (‘Child 44,’ ‘Safe House,’ ‘Easy Money’) is in talks to develop a crime thriller based on crime novelist Jo Nesbø’s upcoming two-book series ‘Blood On Snow,’ says Deadline.
With Leonardo DiCaprio circling the lead, the thriller is the tale of “a hit man who’s forced to go into hiding after he fails on a job and finds himself on the run with his intended target, who unfortunately happens to be his boss’s wife.”
The book, penned by Nesbø under the pseudonym Tom Johansson, is set to arrive on bookshelves autumn 2014 with the second to follow in spring 2015.
DiCaprio is also on board to produce the adaptation with Appian Way partner Jennifer Davisson Killoran, and Kevin McCormick of Langley Park.
