Investigation into Ledger’s Death Officially Closed
The investigation into Heath Ledger’s death has been officially closed.
Ledger, 28, was found dead in his Soho apartment on January 22, and the coroner determined the actor died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs for pain, anxiety and sleep.
The investigation focussed on how he obtained two painkillers that contributed to his death.
Speaking to reporters an unnamed law enforcement official said the investigation was closed because prosecutors “don’t believe there’s a viable target”
