Actress becomes latest addition to the untitled drama.
Deadline is reporting that Jennifer Lawrence is set to reunite with her ‘Silver Linings Playbooks’ director David O. Russell and co-star Bradley Cooper for the former’s untitled Abscam drama, formerly known as ‘American Bullshit.’
Co-starring Christian Bale, Jeremy Renner, Amy Adams and Louis C.K, the film centres on Mel Weinberg, a con artist forced to work with an out of control federal agent to take down other con artists, mobsters, and dirty politicians.
Lawrence will be playing the wife of Bale’s character. The film will mark Lawrence’s third time working with Cooper. After wrapping on the Oscar nominated ‘Silver Linings Playbook,’ the two filmed the period thriller ‘Serena’ with Danish filmmaker Susanne Bier.
Principal photography on the Abscam drama is scheduled to begin this month with O Russell directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Eric Singer.
