Michael Bay-produced film hires ‘Machete Kills’ scribe…

Screenwriter Kyle Ward (‘Agent 47,’ ‘Machete Kills’) has been tapped to provide the screenplay for the Warner Bros. project ‘Cosmic Motors,’ according to Variety.

The film is based on German designer Daniel Simon’s 2007 concept art book of the same name that features futuristic vehicle designs. Simon served as lead vehicle designer on ‘Prometheus,’ ‘Tron: Uprising’ and ‘Captain America: The First Avenger,’ as well as a concept illustrator on ‘Oblivion.’ He has also focused his talents on futuristic concepts for such companies as Bugatti and Lamborghini.

‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ and ‘Pain & Gain’ director Michael Bay is on board to produce the film, with Drew Crevello and Cate Adams overseeing development for Warner Bros.
