Trio filming metaphysical comedy-drama…
Production is underway in Los Angeles on ‘Welcome To Happiness,’ director Oliver Thompson’s metaphysical comedy/drama starring Kyle Gallner (‘American Sniper,’ ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’), Olivia Thirlby (‘Dredd’), Molly C. Quinn (‘Castle’), and the awesome Nick Offerman (‘Parks and Recreations,’ ’22 Jump Street’).
Featuring a script by Thompson, the indie film sees Gallner playing a children’s book author who is the gatekeeper to a mysterious door in his closet that only allows certain people to enter. When he learns where the door leads, his life is forever changed.
Brendan Sexton III (‘Seven Psychopaths’), Paget Brewster (‘Criminal Minds’), Frances Conroy (‘American Horror Story’), and Josh Brener (‘Silicon Valley’) round out the supporting cast.
Gallner, Thompson, and Bay Dariz are producing through their newly minted production banner, Minutehand Pictures, along with Quinn’s On Q Productions.
