Veteran actor eyes role in the fast-paced franchise.
Variety is reporting that the always-awesome Kurt Russell has entered into negotiations to join the cast of ‘Fast & Furious 7.’
The next instalment of the uber-popular series brings back most of the talent from the franchise, including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, producer Neal H. Moritz and writer Chris Morgan with James Wan (‘The Conjuring,’ ‘Saw,’ ‘Death Sentence,’ ‘Insidious’) now behind the camera.
As expected, there are no details on what role Russell will take, but the trade’s sources hear that it’s the part previously offered to Denzel Washington.
Production on ‘Fast & Furious 7’ kicks off next month in Atlanta with stuntman-turned-actor Tony Jaa (‘Ong Bak’), and Ultimate Fighting Champion Ronda Rousey (‘The Expendables 3’) rumoured for roles.
