Kristen Wigg is using her ‘Bridesmaids’ clout to get her passion project ‘Imogene’ up and running. The actress has been trying to get the project off the ground for the last two years.
The dramatic-comedy centers on a moderately successful New York playwright who fakes a suicide attempt in order to win back her ex-boyfriend, only to be under the custory of her mother, a gambler. Wiig will take the title role, as well as serving as producer.
‘American Splendor’ directors Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini will be working from a script by Michelle Morgan. Production is set to begin August 8th in New York.
