Elba in talks for Ritchie’s King Arthur retelling…
‘Luther’ and ‘Thor: The Dark World’ star Idris Elba is in talks for a supporting role on the Warner Bros fantasy adventure ‘Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur,’ says TheWrap.
The film is the first in a six-part retelling of the King Arthur legend and would see Elba playing Bedivere, Arthur’s father’s right-hand man who takes it upon himself to train the young warrior for battle as he learns his true destiny.
Guy Ritchie, who previously worked with Elba on 2008s ‘RocknRolla’ is directing with the script coming from Joby Harold (‘Awake’).
Akiva Goldsman and Lionel Wigram are on board to produce alongside Harold and his Safehouse Pictures partner Tory Tunnell.
