KICK-ASS Stars Officially in Talks for Sequel

Cage may return for cameo.

‘Kick-Ass’ stars Aaron Johnson, Chloë Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are now confirmed to be in negotiations to reprise their roles for the recently announced sequel that will be written and directed by Jeff Wadlow.

What’s more, Mike Fleming over at Deadline is hearing that Nicolas Cage, who played Big Daddy, is in talks for a small cameo, most likely in the form of a flashback.Based on the raucous comic book series by Mark Millar, the Matthew Vaughn-directed original cost $28 million to make and grossed $103 million worldwide.

If all the deals fall into place, the sequel – tentatively titled ‘Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall’ – will go into production in autumn.
