Kevin Hart (‘Ride Along) will star opposite Colin Firth (‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’) in the upcoming English-language remake of the award-winning French drama ‘The Intouchables.’
Directed by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache and based on a true story, the original follows a wealthy aristocrat (played by François Cluzet) who suffers a tragic paragliding accident that leaves him a quadriplegic. He goes through several caretakers before bonding with a young, troubled caregiver (Omar Sy), and the seemingly mismatched duo end up learning a lot from each other.
‘Bridesmaids’ director Paul Feig was previously set to take the director’s chair, although it is unclear if he is still involved.
