Production set for this week.
THR reports that Kevin Durand (‘Real Steel,’ ‘Lost’) and Lukas Haas (‘Inception’) have been cast in Jack Heller’s ‘Dark Was The Night,’ a horror thriller that will, reportedly, feature a “never-before-seen” monster.
Co-starring Sabina Gadecki (‘Freaky Deaky’), Heath Freeman (‘Skateland’) and Nick Damici (‘Stake Land’), the film is set in an isolated town, where a logging company disrupts the balance of life in the woods, causing an evil force to emerge. The only thing standing between evil and the locals is a sheriff and his deputy.
Production on the Tyler Hisel-penned horror, previously titled ‘The Trees,’ kicks off this week with Heller producing with his Caliber partner Dallas Sonnier and Sundial’s Stefan Nowicki.
