Kevin Costner Eyes Roles in THREE DAYS TO KILL and JACK RYAN

Costner continues his comeback.

Deadline is reporting that Kevin Costner is being courted for roles in two upcoming projects; the Luc Besson produced drama ‘Three Days To Kill’ and Kenneth Branagh’s Jack Ryan prequel starring Chris Pine.

Penned by Besson and Adi Hasak, ‘Three Days to Kill’ is a France-set drama that would see Costner in the role of Ethan Renner, “a government assassin who is dying. Before he goes, he is determined to reconcile with his daughter, while taking on one final mission.” According to reports McG (‘This Means War’) is circling the project as director.

Costner’s role in the Branagh-directed Jack Ryan film would be that of mentor to Chris Pine’s young recruit. The role is somewhat similar to James Earl Jones’ CIA bigwig Admiral James Greer but is a new character to the series allowing Jones to return for the prequel.
