Kate Mara (‘House of Cards,’ ‘Fantastic Four,’ ‘Transcendence’) is set to take the lead in ‘Morgan,’ the feature directorial debut of Luke Scott, the son ‘Alien’ helmer Ridley Scott.
Featured on last year’s Black List of unproduced screenplay, the Seth Owens-scripted film centres on “a corporate risk management consultant who is summoned to a remote research lab to determine whether or not to terminate an at-risk artificial being.”
THR has model Anya Taylor-Joy, who recently made her feature acting debut in the horror ‘The Witch,’ in talks for a supporting role.
Ridley Scott will serve as producer on the sci-fi through his Scott Free banner, with George Heller on board to executive produce.
