Karate Kid remake renamed Kung Fu Kid
According to Jackie Chan, the upcoming Karate King remake has been renamed.
Chan, who will play martial arts mentor Mr. Miyagi in the ’80s reworking, told reporters: “They don’t want to call it Karate Kid anymore. They want to call it Kung Fu Kid.”
Jaden Smith, the son of actor Will, will take on the role made famous by Ralph Macchio in the original movies.
