Henry Caville, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Saoirse Ronan and Michael Phelps to star in the DC adaptation.
Warner Brothers tonight confirmed the long rumored news of a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie. The DC franchise will hit the big screen in 2015, on the exact same day as Marvel’s Avengers sequel, pitting both hero franchises against each other.
Zack Snyder, director of this summer’s MAN OF STEEL will direct, with Christopher Nolan producing. Fans will be thrilled that Henry Caville will return to play the role of Superman and Joseph Gordon Levitt will portray Batman, continuing on his story from THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.
Other heroes confirmed to appear opposite Superman and Batman are the iconic Wonder-Woman, who will be played by Irish actress Saoirse Ronan, while underwater hero Aquaman will be played by Olympic Swimmer Michael Phelps.
Studio execs are still in discussions with Ryan Reynolds to reprise his Green Lantern role, Reynolds has previously stated that he would like to play Flash and is hoping to use CGI technology to play both characters on screen at the same time.
The movie will begin filming on April 1st 2014 and will hit cinemas in summer 2015.
