Jude Law And Aaron Johnson In Talks for Joe Wrights ANNA KARENINA

Jude Law and Aaron Johnson to play love rivals in ‘Anna Karenina.’

Aaron Johnson (‘Kick Ass’) and Jude Law (‘Sherlock Holmes’) are in talks for an adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s ‘Anna Karenina.’

To be directed by Joe Wright ( ‘Atonement,’ ‘The Soloist,’ ‘Hanna’). ‘Anna Karenina’ tells the story of a woman stuck in a loveless marriage who becomes a social outcast when she has an affair with an aristocrat.

Keira Knightley is playing the title role. Sources wouldn’t confirm which actor will play Anna’s unfeeling husband or her lover. The script for the adaptation comes from Tom Stoppard (‘Shakespeare In Love’). Tim Bevan (‘Frost/Nixon,’ ‘Atonement’) is producing. The movie is scheduled to start shooting later this year.

Joe Wright’s ‘Hanna’ starring Saoirse Ronan hits Irish cinemas May 6th.
