According to reports, the Oscar nominee is circling the male lead in the dramedy from Juno pair Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody
The film follows an author of young adult novels who moves back to her hometown following a divorce and begins to stalk her high school boyfriend, now married with a family.
If confirmed, Brolin will join Charlize Theron in the movie.
