Filmmaker to helm ‘Mindcorp.’
José Padilha (‘Robocop,’ ‘Elite Squad’) is to direct ‘Mindcorp,’ a high-concept thriller based on an unpublished short story by the Brazilian filmmaker.
Full plot details are under wraps, but according to Deadline, the film is an “”intense thriller involving next-generation mind-body experimentation and a priest who becomes responsible for the survival of humanity.””
Padilha will flesh out the script with up-and-coming screenwriter Dwain Worrell.
The film is set up over at Warner Bros. with Gianni Nunnari (‘The Departed,’ ‘Seven,’ ‘300’) producing.
