John Barry dies at 77

Bond composer passes away…

Legendary music composer John Barry has died at the age of 77.

Best known for his work on several James Bond movies, he passed away after suffering a heart attack.

Originally hired to arrange Monty Norman’s ‘James Bond Theme’ for Dr. No, Barry, he went on to composed the scores for 11 of the next 14 Bond films.

Speaking about Barry’s death, current Bond composer David Arnold said: “It was with a heavy heart that I tell you John Barry passed away this morning

“I am profoundly saddened by the news but profoundly thankful for everything he did for music and for me personally.”
