‘Zero Dark Thirty’ star to portray blonde bombshell…
TheWrap is hearing that Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain (‘Zero Dark Thrty,’ ‘Mama,’ ‘The Help’) is being lined up to play Marilyn Monroe in writer/director Andrew Dominik’s ‘Blonde.’
The screenplay was adapted from Joyce Carol Oates’ best-selling novel, which boldly re-imagines the inner, poetic, and spiritual life of Norma Jeane Baker — the child, the woman, the fated celebrity and idolized blonde the world came to know as Marilyn Monroe.
Dominik’s ‘Killing Them Softly’ and ‘The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford’ star Brad Pitt is on board to produce via his Plan B shingle. Worldview Entertainment, who acquired the rights to the project last year, will co-produce.
