‘Zero Dark Thirty’ and ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’ star Jessica Chastain is in reportedly in talks to join Jake Gyllenhaal for ‘The Division,’ a big screen adaptation of the hit videogame.

The game, developed and published by Ubisoft, is a third person shooter set in a dystopian New York City in the aftermath of a smallpox pandemic. In the game, the player is an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division, commonly referred to as simply “The Division,” who is tasked with helping to rebuild the Division’s operations in Manhattan, investigating the nature of the outbreak and combating criminal activity in its wake.

Gyllenhaal (‘Southpaw,’ ‘Nightcrawler’) is producing the project through his Nine Stories Productions, alongside Gerard Guillemot of Ubisoft. ‘The Division’ is currently without a director.
