Jeremy Renner Next In Line for MOTOR CITY

Yet another actor linked to the thriller.

Albert Hughes’ revenge thriller ‘Motor City’ has had a number of actors linked to play the lead since it was first announced back in August. First it was ‘Captain America’ star Chris Evans, and then it was Dominic Cooper (‘The Devil’s Double’). Last week Jake Gyllenhaal became the latest, but talks with the ‘Source Code’ star apparently fell apart over scheduling.

Now Twitch is reporting that an offer is out to Jeremy Renner to take the lead. Should Renner sign on for the Chad St John penned film, he will be taking the role of “a felon who, after being released from prison, begins tracking down the men who framed him.”

Renner, who will next be seen starring in Josh Whedon’s superhero epic ‘Avengers Assemble,’ has a number of projects on his slate and is currently in the mix for the role of the villain in Ridley Scott’s ‘The Counselor’ opposite Michael Fassbender.
