Claire Messud adaptation begins casting…
Jeff Bridges, who will next be seen starring in the fantasy flick ‘Seventh Son’ when it hits Irish screen March 27th, has signed on to star in the long-in-development ‘The Emperor’s Children.’
Based on Claire Messud’s 2006 novel, the story is set in the months leading up to and following the September 11 attacks. The story centres on three Brown University graduates in their late twenties who are struggling with their life expectations.
Bridges will take the role of Murray Thwaite, a legendary journalist and liberal opinion-maker.
As reported back in August, actress-turned-helmer Lake Bell is on board to direct the Noah Baumbach-penned adaptation.
