Veteran character actor Ed Harris, who will next be seen in South Korean filmmaker Joon-ho Bong’s sci-fi thriller ‘Snowpiercer,’ is said to be in negotiations to join Liam Neeson and Joel Kinnaman on the cast of the crime thriller ‘Run All Night.’
Neeson’s ‘Unknown’ and ‘Non-Stop’ director Jaume Collet-Serra behind the camera, the thriller follows “an aging hit man (Neeson) who, in order to protect his wife and son, must take on his former boss in a single night. He then winds up on the run from the mob and the authorities with his estranged son.”
TheWrap has Harris in the role of the former boss, the violent leader of a prominent criminal organization in Philadelphia “who wants revenge for the death of his son.”
Cameras are set to roll in the autumn with Collet-Serra directing from a script by Brad Ingelsby (‘Out of the Furnace’).
In related news, Collet-Serra is said to be back in talks with Warner Bros. to direct the studio’s long-in-development adaptation of the popular anime ‘Akira.’
