Bateman in talks for long in-development comedy.

Pajiba reports that ‘Horrible Bosses’ star Jason Bateman is in negotiations to take the lead in the pot-dealing comedy ‘We’re the Millers.’

The movie follows a low level drug dealer who wants out of the business. Deciding to do one last job he travels down to Mexico to smuggle 1,400 pounds of marijuana back into America. In order to pull off the job he recruits a fake family made up of a stoner neighbor kid and a smart mouth prostitute.

‘We’re the Millers’ would reunite Bateman with his ‘Dodgeball’ director Rawson Thurber, who is helming the project from a spec script by ‘Wedding Crashers’ scribes Steve Faber and Bob Fisher.

Bateman will be next seen starring alongside Ryan Reynolds in ‘The Change-Up.’ The body swap comedy will be playing as part of Ireland’s new cinema event, Movie Fest, taking place on August 13th and 14th 2011. For more details visit
