Will Jamie Fox write the Laverne & Shirley remake?
Jamie Foxx is in talks to write a script for a big screen Laverne & Shirley remake.
According to producer, Gary Marshall, Fox is penning a new take on the classic sitcom:
“Jamie and I are trying to do it,” Marshall said.
He added: “He’s writing it. It’s a whole different modern day take on how they came up on the streets during difficult times. Laverne would be this very tough girl with a big ‘L’ tattooed on her arm.”
Marshall, co-creator of the original show, is looking to cast Jennifer Garner for the role of Laverne and Jessica Biel for the part of Shirley.
