Jamie Foxx May Play President in WHITE HOUSE DOWN

Foxx circling the action thriller.

Jamie Foxx is reportedly eyeing the role of the president in Roland Emmerich’s action thriller ‘White House Down.’ While no official negotiations have begun, both sides are believed to be keen to work together.

Scripted by James Vanderbilt, the film has Channing Tatum attached to play a Secret Service agent who tries to save the president when the White House comes under attack from a paramilitary group.

The project is not to be confused with Antoine Fuqua-directed rival, ‘White House Taken,’ which has Gerard Butler in the lead. Both films have been described as ‘Die Hard’ at the White House.

Foxx will next be seen playing the title role in Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained,’ a Southern-set nod to spaghetti westerns co-starring Christoph Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio.
