Bell and Mara set for rom-com.
Variety reports that Jamie Bell (‘The Adventures of Tintin’) and Kata Mara (‘American Horror Story’) are attached to star in the “quirky” comedy ‘Fighting Jacob.’
With a script by Justin Lader, the film centers on Jacob ‘The Manic Maniac’ Rosenthal, an up-and-coming boxer whose extreme OCD is the key to his success in the ring. After a devastating breakup with his girlfriend, he is forced to evaluate his many neuroses and whether or not he can be truly happy and a great fighter at the same time.
The film will mark the directorial debut of Charlie McDowell. Filming is expected to kick off in this summer in Los Angeles.
